How Elephants got their Trunks

You may think Elephants naturally came with trunks. No, but this is the story of how they got them.
                         A long time ago...
Elephants had really short noses, most of like ours. One day, a little elephant named Ellie, went to get a drink of water in a nearby swamp. What Ellie didn't know, was that there were alligators in the swamp. While Ellie was taking a drink, an alligator came up and snatched her nose! Ellie pulled back as hard as she could, but the alligator didn't let go. Soon, Ellie's nose was six times longer than it was before! When the alligator finally let go, she quickly ran away back to her friends and family. Everyone saw that Ellie was embarrassed. They felt bad so they decided to have the alligators stretch their noses too! After their noses were stretched, it became a big trend to elephants all over the world!
And that is how elephants got their trunks!
