The Target Rush
By: Rushil P.
”Wow, look at that line!” I said to my Dad. When me and my Dad entered Target, we observed this humongous line that looked like a snake. They were all here for electronics! Unfortunately, we had to be in that line, the first thought that came into my mind was “I am never going to get my Ipod Touch 5.” The further we budged, the less hope and the more bored I got. I waited in line and looked around for a favorable enough place to sit down and rest my feet. Sadly, there were no seats available.
After standing in line for 3 and ½ hours of complaining to my Dad and being bored, we finally came by the aisle that had the PlayStation 4 connected. I told my Dad to wait in line while I played FIFA 15 on the PlayStation. I rushed to the PlayStation before anyone has the chance to steal it from me. I grabbed the controller and started playing, trying not to think about the amount of time I had left to play.
People rushed to buy the games on their sons and daughters lists. I got jostled and pushed from every side! I lost my focus as I got bumped into, and the other team scores to tie up the virtual game to 2-2. Suddenly, my head started to hurt and I felt hungry. I turned the game off and went back to my Dad.
“Dad, I’m hungry,” I whined. “Here, eat these,” my Dad said as he handed me a Starburst pack that he brought from home. I gave my Dad a few pieces and I ate the rest. The funny part was, we ate the whole pack and we were still stuck in line! After another 20 minutes of waiting and being bored, it was finally our turn.
I was so happy there still was an Ipod Touch 5 Space Gray 32gb left in stock. The anticipation of waiting till Christmas to open it was killing me! On Christmas morning, I found my Ipod Touch and ripped open the wrapping paper. Then I jumped on the sofa and got ready to play. I spent an hour downloading the apps and games that I wanted. I was one happy guy!
